Board of Directors, Officers, and Staff Joined by the common motivation to build skills in preparing for and responding to emergencies and disasters, a group of women (and one man) at Booz Allen Hamilton, a Northern Virginia-based consulting firm, created EMPOWER. Our 11 founding board members established the non profit organization to provide a forum to strengthen women’s presence and excellence in the field of emergency management. We encourage any EMPOWER member to actively participate in EMPOWER. We are a 100% volunteer organization, and we cannot do this without your help. You can join one of the Committees depicted below, or by joining us in a leadership position to help shape EMPOWER's future and the services offered to our members.
