Fundraising
The EMPOWER Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. The majority of our operating funds come from the contributions that are provided through our Associate and Student Associate applications. We use contributions and donations to operate as an organization and to continue to provide quality events and services.
EMPOWER participation in GoodSearch
EMPOWER participates in GoodSearch, a search engine which donates 50-percent of its revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine. Because it's powered by Yahoo!, you get proven search results. The money GoodSearch donates to your cause comes from its advertisers — the users and the organizations do not spend a dime!
Each time someone designates the EMPOWER Foundation of their charity of choice and uses GoodSearch, EMPOWER earns a penny, and as we all know, those pennies add up!
Take the following steps to designate EMPOWER as your charity:
- To to http://www.goodsearch.com
- Select "EMPOWER Foundation (McLean, VA)" as the charity you use GoodSearch for.
- Then just use GoodSearch when you search for things on the internet and EMPOWER will have some extra pennies to do some good!
